Installation Information

WELCOME TO DINOPARK TYCOON!
DinoPark Tycoon requires a VGA video adapter with color display, Microsoft or 100% compatible mouse and a minimum of 515K free memory. You will need a minimum of 560K free memory if you want to turn the sound on. Sound and music for DinoPark Tycoon do not work when you run the program from WIN. To hear the sound and music, you must run the program from . If at first, you have trouble keeping your park running, you can try starting with the QUICKSTART saved game. Use the OLD GAME button on the first screen to load this game. Thank you for purchasing DinoPark Tycoon. We hope you enjoy the program as much as we enjoyed creating it for you.

Installing the Program for
Putting the Software on Your Computer

The installation program puts DinoPark Tycoon on your hard disk.

To run the installation program for :

1. Put the CD-ROM in your CD-ROM drive.
2. At the C:\> prompt, type "d:" and press Enter to change to your CD-ROM drive. Where "d" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive.
3. Type SETUP and press Enter. Follow the directions on the screen to install the program. Unless you need to modify the settings, just press Enter in response to each question from the installation program. After installing DinoPark Tycoon, the setup program asks you to select a sound device for use with the program.
4. Press the keys to highlight your sound card for SOUND EFFECTS. Then press Enter to save the new settings.
5. Repeat the step above to select a device for MUSIC.
6. Highlight Configure Sound Driver IRQ. Then press Enter.
7. Press the keys to highlight the IRQ number for your sound device. Then press Enter to save the new settings. When the screen appears, the highlighted number is the most common setting for your sound device. You may need to refer to the documentation for your sound device to check the IRQ number.
8. With Save - Use the selected setup highlighted, press Enter to save your settings. When the installation is finished, you will be at the C:\MECC\DINOPARK subdirectory and ready to start the game. (If you installed the program in a different subdirectory, you will be at the subdirectory where you installed the program.)

 

Starting DinoPark Tycoon from

To play the game:
1. Type DINOPARK at the prompt, and then press Enter. The next time you play, you can type DINOPARK at the C:\> prompt. If you changed the subdirectory for the game during installation, you will need to go to that subdirectory to start the game.
2. The opening screen appears. Installing the Program for Microsoft WIN DinoPark Tycoon is not a WIN product, but it does include files that will let you run it as a program under WIN. The following steps take you through the complete installation. Please Note. If you run DinoPark Tycoon from WIN, you will not hear the sound effects or music.

Putting the Software on Your Computer

To install the program for WIN:

1. If you are not in WIN now, type WIN at the prompt to start WIN.
2. Insert the first DinoPark Tycoon CD-ROM into your CD-ROM drive.
3. From the WIN Program Manager, choose Run from the File menu. You will see the Run window.
4. Type D:\SETUP (where "D" is the letter of your CD-ROM drive) in the Command Line box. Click on the OK button.
5. Follow the on-screen installation instructions. When the installation is finished, you will return to WIN.

To put DinoPark Tycoon into a program group:

1. Open the Games group. Then choose New from the File menu. You will see the New Program Object window.
2. Click on Program Item. Then click on the OK button. You will see the Program Item Properties window.
3. Type DinoPark Tycoon in the Description box. Then press Tab or click on the Command Line box.
4. Type C:\MECC\DINOPARK\DINOPARK.EXE in the Command Line box. Then press Tab or click on the Working Directory box.
5. Type C:\MECC\DINOPARK in the Working Directory box.
6. Click on the Change Icon button. You will see the message -There are no icons available for the specified file. You can choose an icon from those available from Program Manager.' Click on the OK button.
7. Type C:\MECC\DINOPARK\DINOPARK.ICO in the File Name box. Click on the OK button. You will see the DinoPark Tycoon icon in the Current Icon box.
8. Click on the OK button. You will see the Program Item Properties window. Click on the OK button again.

Starting DinoPark Tycoon from WIN

To start DinoPark Tycoon from WIN:

1. Open the Games group.
2. Double-click on the DinoPark Tycoon icon. The opening screen will appear.
