Knowledge Adventure® Academy
is a new research-based supplemental series providing instructional
content aligned to state standards. This new learning series is
designed specifically for educational institutions to advance student
achievement. The first two products in the series, Early Literacy
and Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension, place each student
according to the initial diagnostic tests. Differentiated instruction and
engaging learning activities target those students who struggle as
well as challenge those who excel.

Vocabulary and Reading
Comprehension
Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension provides an easy-to
implement comprehensive program in which students work through
24 levels of grade-appropriate, sequential word lists. The systematic
lessons in this program include 2400 core vocabulary words and 240
correlated, authentic, high-interest reading passages that not only
reinforce all vocabulary words taught but also build comprehension
skills. Engaging activities reinforce learning in a challenging and
rewarding way.

What else is included?

Classroom Management System:
The Classroom Management System offers teachers the control
to further differentiate instruction by assigning mastery levels to
individual students or groups of students. Teachers can also monitor
student progress and print materials such as quizzes, flashcards
and reading passages to extend learning beyond the computer
and even into the home.

Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension
Program:
The Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension program
contains 2400 vocabulary words grouped and sequenced
according to the research of Andrew Biemiller and 240
high-interest reading passages that include these words.
Students acquire new words through repetition then revisit
the terms in the authentic passages to ensure retention,
build fluency and bolster reading comprehension skills.

Electronic Chalkboard:
The second disc in the program transforms a computer
into an Electronic Chalkboard, a powerful tool for both
and whole and small group instruction. Complete with
240 Vocabulary and Reading Comprehension’s highinterest
reading passages, this helpful tool allows users to
emphasize key points by highlighting, underlining, circling
and writing directly on the text
